Kinsman Contracting is an agricultural company based in Temuka, Grant Kinsman is very much a hands-on owner/operator and has been since 1994. The Contracting business operates throughout wider South Canterbury area, mainly run out of the Temuka Yard and a second yard in St Andrews. Kinsman's operate a large fleet of 23 Tractors and Silage choppers made up of Claas, Fendt, Case, and John Deere Tractors with a specialist Claas Xerion mower tractor. We operate a fleet of 18 Volvo trucks and trailers; 3 truck and trailer units are fitting with V-bottom bins for carting potatoes. Services we provide are, grass, whole crop & maize silage. Balage, round and square baling of Hay and straw. we cover your Cartage needs. We buy and sell silage, whole crop, Balage, hay and straw. We provide dry matter and ME testing. Agriculture work includes Ploughing, Ripper discing, Power Harrowing, maxi tilling direct drilling, roller drilling, Fodder Beet and Maize Planting, also in the season potato harvesting. They also deliver woodchip for calf rearing sheds. In 2013 a new purpose-built workshop and storage facilities was constructed in Temuka.
