GroundSpray was formed in 2001 by Martin and Liesl Grounds when it was noticed that there was a gap in the market for an environmentally focused weed control business. Drawing on his vast previous experience working in this industry throughout the South Island, Managing director Martin Grounds set about building a company focused on delivering high quality services at affordable costs, with an emphasis on combining environmentally behaviour with targeted chemical application. From these small beginnings Groundspray has grown to become a market leader in environmental weed control covering a geographical area from Tekapo to the Catlins. Groundspray have undertaken many large scale weed spraying and wilding pine control operations for both central government, regional authorities and private land owners. GroundSpray focuses not only on extremely high "quality of work" standards but also fully understands the importance of robust health and safety systems, Resource consent conditions and sensitivity to the environment.
